Christmas decoration everywhere – welcome to Hanoi on the 23rd of
dezember 2016! Didn’t expect that and it felt so weird standing in front of a Christmas tree in my super.natural tanktop, shorts and flip flops! Hungry after a long flight a traditional noodle soup called „Pho“ is the best to get the energy back.
The Vietnamese people basically have it for breakfast. Even I am not a soup-lover, I ate it every single day for two weeks!
There’s always this discussion whether you may eat Asian street food or not. I must say, I never had problems with Asian street food.
A tip: clean your sticks with a peace of lemon before using. If you want to visit a really good Vietnamese restaurant in Hanoi, I can recommend Quan An Ngon restaurant! They offer you a large selection and it’s always well visited.
About 150 km southern of Hanoi, is the valley MAI CHAU surrounded by a beautiful landscape. Perfect to relax after a visit in a noisy big city.
HUE, the former imperial capital of Vietnam which is on the central region was our next city we explored. If you are tired of Vietnamese food- even it’s delicious- try out „ZUCCA restaurant„. They have a really good pizza!
After two nights in Hue we arrived in NHA TRANG which is directly at the beach! We got there by train from hue in around 9 hours. Unfortunately, the weather was rainy and we didn’t spend much time on the beach. Nha trang offers you a lot of party! In this area are many tourists and especially Russians escape the cold during their winter months.
The rooftop bar and restaurant „Skylight Nha Trang“ is a MUST. Awesome view over nha trang and the beach promenade! On our last day in Nha Trang, we had visited „Po Nagar“ a very old hindu temple. Worth to visit! It’s beautiful. Go there in the early morning, during the day it’s too crowded.
Last but not least we traveled to magical MEKONG DELTA, vinh long province. On the way, it was so nice to observe, the more you get into the south of Vietnam, the greener it becomes.
We stayed at Coco Riverside Lodge, a beautiful accommodation surrounded by palm trees! The food they offer is just fantastic and they organize activities for you like boat trips on the Mekong river and meetings with local people.
Well, that’s it so far. I hope you like my travel tips and maybe you are in the mood to travel to VIETNAM soon.
